Monica Sanchez-Diu, DMD Pediatric Specialist
Dr. Monica Sanchez-Diu was born in Miami, Florida and raised in San Juan, PR. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Inter American University in 2002, with a major in Biology and a minor in Biomedical Sciences. She attended Dental School at the University of Puerto Rico – Medical Science Campus, where she received her DMD in 2006.
Dr. Sanchez-Diu then went on to complete her General Residency Program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York. She stayed an additional year as Chief Resident, where she guided and managed newly graduated general dentists. After working as a general dentist for a few years, she returned to receive her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Bronx Lebanon Hospital in June 2013. Her education included advanced studies and specialized training in dentistry for children, adolescents, special needs and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Sanchez-Diu moved back to Florida after completing her training. When she’s not doing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
